Kohler Forte

Chinese knockoff. You can tell because the pullout is a different shade than the body and has the gray button instead of a black one. Not really worth keeping long term. Go for the real thing instead. You won't have any warranty issues with an actual Kohler.

The brushed metal models look like they have grey buttons, so that might not be a good indicator.

Wouldn't the Kohler logo be present somewhere in the faucet to tell? They don't seem to be a company that resists advertising whenever possible.

We had the Forte without the pull-out and it's notorious for leaking near the handle. They will send you replacement innards till you finally get rid of the dang thing. It was a HD buy and didn't have a logo.

About a year ago we replaced our kitchen faucet with a Forte (not the pull out) from Amazon, no logo anywhere visible on faucet but under the sink on one of the water lines there's a Kohler tag, that's the only place I find the name on mine.

Thanks for the help! We did not find it on the water line, but an astute friend discovered the Kohler name under the spout, along with numbers that I assume is the style number. We are not the first owners of the home so I'm guessing they aren't going to replace my problem, but I'm still going to ask. Our faucet isn't leaking; instead, it's actually peeling above the button (on the other side of that photo). Maybe expected for a Chinese knockoff, but not for a Kohler.
