the easy way out is white subway tile and white outlets. :)
that's probably what i'll do. i haven't picked my granite, either -- hope to within the week - but am look at goldens like imperial. saw a couple of pretty white ones yesterday - arctic cream and moon white. but realized there would be too much white with my white cabinets.

There's always plugmold...no outlets in your backsplash with plugmold.

I second and third plugmold. LOVE it for an uninterrupted backsplash. Ours is mounted under the upper cabinets and you can't see it at all when standing, however you can see them while sitting at the kitchen table. They are still the most unobtrusive solution to the problem.

Unfortunately, last year my computer crashed, but I used to have several links that I'd gotten from this forum where you could send a scrap piece of your stone to one of these companies, and they'd make switchplate and outlet covers. It wasn't cheap, but if you want it to "disappear", and don't want fake, this is the way to go. You might do a search.

taymac.com has a line of outlet covers called Mosaic that are designed to be painted.

Take a picture of your tile, print it on regular paper, put it in a clear plastic outlet cover that is made for wallpaper.

Plugmold and outlets inside cabinets. We don't have a single outlet on the visible part of the walls/backsplash.

I really like my plugmolds but I couldn't use them everywhere because of our codes- we had to have an outlet every 36" I think.
