What Hue will Beech Cabinets Become

Posted by aloha2009 (My Page) on

I've read that woods can take another hue especially cherry. With the wanna-be cherry cabinets at IKEA that are actually beech with a red brown stain, I'd like to get an idea of how beech wood transitions. Being that IKEA has a lot of beech wood, it would be good to know. TIA

RE: What Hue will Beech Cabinets Become

Natural beech has a pinky-gold tone to it that deepens slightly with time. But it doesn't deepen significantly enough to affect a dark stained beech's color. It becomes just very slightly "richer" in tone, and that's really it.
