| We are purchasing a second home that will be our retirement home in a couple of years. It is in the Manistee National Forest. It is modest, has good bones and is in need of updating and some remodeling. We are hoping to redo the kitchen by removing the cabinets, room divider and soffits, adding a dishwasher and an island with storage underneath and eating on one side. We will also replace the flooring, or expose the hardwood. We do have windows and doorways to deal with. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also, I love white woodwork. Would it be a crime to paint all of the woodwork white? |
