Great plumber (or small company) in Northern Virginia?

This is a cross post from plumbing where I've had no responses.

I'm looking for an honest, efficient and knowledgeable plumber who services Northern Virginia or the metropolitan DC area. I prefer an individual or small company, as I have an older home and good, consistent communication is essential.

A master plumber would be wonderful.

Thank you for any recommendations. I've got some pre-holiday work to do.

Happy Holidays to you all.

RE: Great plumber (or small company) in Northern Virginia?

Hi, I'm in CCMD, and we just used a company that seems to work on both sides of the Beltway, Michael and Son. I called them at 4pm on a Friday after we realized our ancient gas range wasn't going to hold out till spring for a full kitchen remodel. Wash Gas had found a leak and shut off all the gas to the house since the range had been installed by previous owners without a shut off valve. M&S sent a plumber who was also a certified gas tech, no emergency charges even though he didn't leave till 730pm on a Friday nite, AND he got all the work done plus was able to turn the gas back on to our home. The charge was 300 dollars, which is less than i paid the last time I needed a drain snaked.

Thanks smaloney. Sounds like they did a wonderful job for you on short notice. I do believe they are in NoVa too. Wonder if they have what I"m looking for.

Any others with a master plumber?
