Silestone question....

Had Silestone "Lagoon" (Carrara marble look-alike) countertops with a 5" backsplash installed yesterday in the kitchen. The seams in the counter were filled with a grey filler he mixed to match, and look fine. The problem is the seam where the backsplash rests on the counter. He started using white caulking, but that was too bright, so he switched to clear caulking. The problem is, in places there is a gap of almost 1/8 in places, which is very noticeable. The installer agreed to replace one piece where it's most noticeable, but isn't there some filler that will match the countertop a little better? The installer said they always just use caulking.
