Knobby glass(?) for upper cabinets

In the movie, Brighton Beach Memoirs, I noticed the uppers of the cupboards in the kitchen had that knobby privacy glass. It's the type of window I've always wanted in my bathroom door. I live in an old school, so thought it would be a neat thing plus there are no windows in the bathroom and this would allow some light but still give privacy. But I'm OT - what is this glass called and what do you think of this in upper kitchen cabinets? Would it look strange because the unfitted cupboard across the room has normal glass?

Thanks jakuvall, that's a great link; but the pattern I see in the Bendheim Glass catalog called "Clear Starburst" is very close to what I have in mind. It reminds me of the windows of the restroom doors in the grade school I attended. Thank you writersblock.

I can actually get this type of glass at a local window glass business, just can't remember what it's called other than "privacy glass". Does anyone here have this in upper cabinet doors?
