I am not sure what she used but you can also get Silpat style mats but ci_lantro found a good one also and probably less expensive than Silpat (or fake versions)

I think it was the Range Kleen, because I just recently bought some from Amazon due to a post at GW.

Hi Viennamommy - it is the Range Kleen Silverwave Countermats. They come in 3 sizes:

They are heat resistant to 350F. They are very lightweight. I store them in
my verticle storage with cookie sheets. We had 30 for dinner last night. Between the countermats, the Big Hot Silicone Mat & Acrylic Cutting Board with a lip, not a single etch or chip. I also recommend drying mats for dish washing.

This is the acrylic cutting board. I don't use it as a cutting board. DH & I are empty nesters so I only use these when the kids are visiting. I put one on each side of the sink. I place it slightly over the edge of the marble to protect from chipping. Also a good landing area for keys, etc.
