did you get the one with the 2.2 gpm flow rate or the 1.8 gpm flow rate?

I have the Culina which is similar to the Meridian. If your spray function is hardly working, it's probably something other than being limited to 2.2gpm flow rate. You should be able to get a strong flow on spray at that rate.

Yes. Unscrew and check the screen and parts for debris. Anytime a faucet is installed or changed, water should be bled through the lines until it runs clear, then attach any sprayers. Even turning off a shutoff valve can put debris in the line.

Is 1.8 or 1.5 an annoyingly light/slow flow rate for a kitchen faucet? I've been trying to select a faucet for my prep sink for a while now. I'm looking for a smaller size as my prep sink is located on the island and only 10x12". Many of the bar faucets have a lower flow rate, but I'm not sure what to compare that to in terms of my actual faucet experiences. As an aside, is there no small faucet in satin nickel with a pull-down spray that is not ridiculously expensive? Ack!

I have the 2.2 and the flow is slow with the faucet head on. When it’s removed the flow is great. This is frustrating with a brand new faucet. What to do, anyone have ideas otherwise I want it replaced.

I have the same exact faucet as the original poster:: Blanco Meridian with 2.2 gpm flow rate. Here's how I fixed my low pressure issue. Over time sediment had built up inside the stem and pull out hose. First, go to the page in the link below and download the spec sheet. On page 2 you will see the parts diagram. What I did was I removed the entire hand spray and pull out hose assembly from the base (see screw #5) Once your remove this spray hose assembly you will see the 4 o rings. Make sure they are clean. Use white vinegar to clean them. Look inside the hose. I found a lot of scale and calcium buildup inside the stem. I poured white vinegar inside and let it soak. Cleaned it all out, put it back together and now the flow rate is great. NOTE: there are two flow regulators in this faucet: one in the hand spray (part #9.1) and the other is in the pull out hose (part # 12). This is a far superior faucet than any of the other brands. Just make sure the INSIDE is clean.
