Kitchen layout help

Need your help with our kitchen design! We are thinking of added a peninsula for a breakfast bar to give ourselves more counter space. Would this make the kitchen too tight? We were also thinking of moving the fridge to the where the stove is as another possibility. Is there anything else we should consider? What would make this space more useful without cutting down any walls?

Thanks!

RE: Kitchen layout help

wouldn't the venting for the range remain the easiest from the current position?[avoiding more bends then necessary]. I'd put a reduced depth base cab to left of pantry-24 or 27 in width-needed for misc use when people come in from garage....then pantry, perhaps at the reduced depth[are 24 in deep pantry cabs really the best anyway?],then two 27 in cabs between pantry and fridge. Nice continuous counter in the kitchen....the challenge is choosing the cabs for each corner. Is the 49 in cab a special cab with the pull out peanut shaped things? Looks like the cab in corner by dishwasher can open out into dining area? that's handy...I would do a large single bowl sink and keep fridge and range about right where you have it.
