Yikes. Sorry that happened but treb is right. Pull it out, and tell the kids to stop playing with your building materials.

Oh one more thing - they're going to tell you it'll look fine once it's grouted. It won't. Grout will make the issue less noticeable, but it won't cure a poor install. Good luck!

I am not a professional, however I've done a lot of tiling, including tub to ceiling subway tile installation. That wall of tile is unacceptable for sure.

I can't see clear detail but am wondering what tile was used. It kind of looks like similar issues attributed to HD Daltile subways on a couple other threads, although I'm sure your observation on the seasoned tiler being able to handle things better is true and the other needs to be reset.

Yikes! I would not accept that tile job. Make them replace it. You are paying good money for it, be firm, its unacceptable.

Wow. Makes me appreciate the job our tile installer did. But then it's all he does all day. Looks like a very doable fix though and one they should understand.

The tile used is the Sonoma Tilemakers Pure Collection. It is partially handmade/machine cut and slightly "pillowed" so I didn't expect a completely flat end result, but you are all right... that was not acceptable. I had them pull it out and had the Senior Lead reistall...
