This has always had a tug on me, simply from the artistry that goes into making something this detailed. It surely qualifies as "wild"!

I've seen those at Rejuvenation. They amuse me, but I wouldn't know what to do with them in a real-life house. For a design board, I could probably come up with a few ideas.

I was looking at some of the dangerous-looking Brutalist fixtures, like this:

Those two fixtures could go in the same house...the bat pendant over an island/peninsula and the gold daggered chandelier over the dining room table...I'm picturing the Adams family mansion!!

This is going to be so much fun! I've never participated in one of these before, but Im excited. Live_wire_oak, I actually picked out the one that's 5th your list early this morning and have been playing with in every spare moment.

Um, no. The last one just has "Electrical Deficiency". :^P

I'll take the gears and pipes. No need to change a thing around here. Would work for a guy's room easily if the decor is rustic. And, gosh, the last one. We have seen it before, gads I wish I hadn't seen it again.

For any fans of the Bravo series "Below Deck" that last one could be a rocket ship :-)

I remember mlweaving_Marji looking into pricing but don't remember specifics (too painful, I'm sure).

I love rebar and all things metal. I guess that's what I get for spending my childhood over a metal shop.

Does everyone agree on one light fixture and design around it, or do people pick one and run with it? I read through the rules but couldn't tell.

The plan is to for each person to pick their own and run with it.

But if you like someone else's fixture, you should feel free to do your own design based on it--and no one should get offended because you "copied." This is one situation where it is totally okay for two people to wear the same dress to the party. The key is in how you style it, and I'm VERY interested to see what people come up with for these.

I just had to share this because it's so creepy....

I feel like those last fixtures need to be lanced, then antibiotic injected into the drywall.
