| We are building a home and I'm thinking of Jet Mist for the kitchen countertop. Wondering if anyone has it and would like to share photos. It is a black granite with white veining that looks a little like soapstone.
I am leaning toward honed or leathered for the finish. Not crazy about a sheen. Any opinions on finishes are welcome too. |

| We have it, polished (American Black, the same granite but mined in PA not VA). Sorry, don't have pics to show. I have been very happy with it. Easy to keep clean with microfiber cloth. No anxieties about staining or etching or putting down hot things or anything else. The reflections don't bother us. |

| We have it honed Jet/ Virginia mist in our kitchen. Our granite was enhanced to look darker, but before enhancement is was more of a gray color. I have been very happy with my countertops and they have been very easy to take care of. I do not have a picture saved on my iPad but will try to attach one later. |

| Thanks for the feedback. I didn't realize it was called by different names depending on the area. cscow: How did they enhance it to make it look darker? Would love to see photos. I'm guessing you have white cabinets... |

| I could be wrong, but I thought boxerpups had this in her kitchen, might do some searching for her finished pics. |

| boxerpups---LOVE YOUR KITCHEN! SPECTACULAR! |
|
| There was a discussion awhile back about how bad honed absolute black shows fingerprints. Do you have that issue with JetMist? |
|
| My cabinets are white. I am still out of town, so no pictures but will add a past link with enhanced Jet Mist. To enhance, the installer just wiped a color enhancing sealer on the granite. I like the look of the darker gray and it makes the white swirls pop. We have had no issues with fingerprints and I have 3 kids! |

| Boxerpups- What tile do you have on the floor? |
|
| Boxerpups: Your kitchen is gorgeous! Love that wall of glass cabinets! I am relatively new to kitchen forum so thank you for sharing! cscow: I had no idea they could put on a color enhancing sealer. I agree with you I like the look of a darker stone to make the white lines pop! Can't wait to see your photos. |
