Not sure where you are located but keep checking back at the stone warehouses for your options. We have just installed white macaubas vein cut counters. We are still not finished with the remodel though. Yet to be installed are the glass back splashes painted with Pratt & Lambert's Pale Cadet color. I too have white (Sherwin Williams Snowbound) cabinets. The blue really makes the counters pop and the gray in the counter is a nice contrast to all the white in the cabinets. I have painted the wall the color that the backsplash will be in order to get a better idea of how the colors will come together. I was inspired by the picture on Houzz for the color scheme - white/gray marble counters similar to the macaubas with white cabinets and wood flooring. Link is below. I am not sure how to post more than one picture at a time in a response so I will responed with one more photo.
Note that the white macaubas is somewhat gray, but it still delivers a very light feeling overall and we just love it.

I keep hoping someone will use Silver Cloud granite and post lovely pictures of it. It is quarried in Georgia, and hard to find in the US outside the south, though fabricators in eastern Canada seem to have it. It's too late for my kitchen, but someone ought to love it.

Kellie, I'd suggest checking in by phone with as many shops as possible. You've narrowed what you're looking for down enough that you might be successful in describing it. They could even send you pictures before you made the effort to visit in person with your glass for scratching (I used a small mosaic backsplash tile, it might still be in my purse).
Hang in there, and consider going to new yards, they seem to vary in the quality and varieties they carry.
That silver cloud does look pretty!

Someone posted Viscont White recently and it was beautiful.

There are granites that meet these requirements, but you'll just have to do a lot of looking. Even Kashmir White is pretty close, and/or RIver White.

I'm glad you've studied the Rocks 101 thread and are armed with glass for your scratch tests. (Yes a tile is more discreet than a wine bottle!) This saves a lot of heartache from falling in love with a rock that turns out to me marble.

I love Macaubus. It's always one of my favorites when I see it in threads here. Thanks for sharing yours Puget.
