Help with profile edging for quartzite Damasco White

To the wonderful GW fabricators,

I have chosen Damasco White quartzite for my kitchen countertops. The person at the slab yard said it's a very hard stone so I'm worried that if I do a mitered edge, it will chip very easily. I've spoken to 2 different fabricators and they don't recommend the mitered edge because they're not familiar with the stone and worried that it will chip.

However, I've also spoken to another fabricator that told me that the epoxy they use for the white quartzite turns amber and the seam will be very apparent. Now I'm hesitant to even do that.

What should I do? I appreciate all your input.

Jamie
