I was at my appliance shop looking at a new washer dryer and saw the new Ilve gas range in cream and brass. I know this Italian brand is sometimes mentioned in passing on the Appliance Forum, and that their presence in the US is not huge. I wouldn't give up my induction for this, but it sure is pretty to look at. The photo does NOT do it justice. Didn't have the nerve to ask the price.

Very, very pretty.

I have researched these and apparently they are not super reliable. Lots of repairs. They are popular in Australia and people have entire forums where they just complain about these stoves.

Too bad...it's beautiful.

Reviews in the US have been much more positive. Maybe Australian ranges are manufactured out of a different facility?

Anyway, they're gorgeous. Lots of fun toys for the top, too.

I've heard, too, that they are not reliable. Like an Italian sports car -- if you look hot enough, much can be forgiven, perhaps? LOL. I'm sticking with my plain Bosch induction.

Perhaps typical Italian over design but I'd wager my head would be turned, looking back again and again as I walked away.... (am still admiring the legs!). Thank you, please, appliance porn welcomed, anytime!
