You will be able to use that hole if that is where you want the faucet. My seam is also in the midline and the fabricator just centered the faucet cutout over the seam (which is where the pre-made hole in my Blanco Stellar SS sink was)

raee, thank you for responding. Do you have a picture? If I am understanding correctly, if I use the cutout in the middle I will have a little seam in front of the faucet and one behind it? I assumed that would weaken the seam.

They will just drill the hole in the seam. It will not affect the seam strength at all.

Stone cracks at faucet holes all the time. Much better to have a seam that gives or can be done over.
