I got the Franke strainer, coated bottom rack, coated shelf rack. Still LOVE my sink! ;-) it was the first thing I picked out and purchased. I can't speak to the match ot the second sink as I only have one sink.

I would think any strainer etc would work, we have the Orca, I ended up buying the Franke chrome strainer, it looks nice and works well.

we purchased the uncoated bottom grate and right shelf rack. we use the bottom grate all the time, the side shelf we haven't used.

We just have the stoppers that came with the disposal. As for other accessories we got the uncoated bottom rack (I wanted to be able to put hot pots straight from the stove onto the rack and not worry about melting the coating) and the right and left coated middle racks for drying wine glasses and more delicate items. I kind of wish that I hadn't gotten the left rack as the right one sits in the sink 99% of the time.

I should say that the only option was coated when I purchased mine, I would get the uncoated bottom if I did it over again for the reason hsw sc noted. My right side drying rack is in 99% of the time.

I have the Orca sink. I got the stainless steel racks. I also have the badger disposal and I just use their stopper. Actually, I have not used the stopper yet. I got a strainer from bed,bath & beyond to save some money. I LOVE my sink, very functional. Good luck with your renovation.

I'm wondering why one would opt for the left side vs the right side rack and vice versa? What do you use it for?

well basically the large part of the sink is on the left. I would think generally, you would want that used for washing, with the right side used fo auxilary use.

i haven't used the right side rack much, we plan too... but haven't found the right situations yet.

btw, for whatever its worth they are pricey, but the pieces are very heavy and well put together. significantly sturdier than the ones I got with my generic sink I had in my last house (not that I had a problem with those), but they feel nice.
