They have many different models of the Whitehaven available. There's a retrofit model, and a non retrofit model. Be sure you are both talking about the same exact model.

That's the one I was ordering - I engaged in a "live chat" to ask a question about something and the CS rep told me even with that one, the largest I could go was a 30. I told her what the spec sheet said but she was adamant that to undermount that model, I'd need at least a 38 inch cab.

Strange. Everything I find says that it fits a 36" cabinet.

I have the 36 inch Whitehaven in a 36 inch sink cab. There was no problem with the install.

Just a follow up in case someone else is wondering: I double-checked directly with Kohler. 36 inch sink in a 36 inch cab is fine.
