We are thinking about buying some 18x18 travertine tiles and laying them in a running bond pattern in our kitchen, hallway, 1/2-bath, laundry room/mud room, foyer, and office.

Our house is less than 2000 sq ft. How do you think think this will look?

We also like the tile patterns with 3 different sized tiles, but we dont want it to seem too busy in our smallish space.

My DH's only caveat is NO GRID pattern.
