Can you post a picture of the space? I'd go with whatever option gives you the best light when you're working at the sink...

Well there's nothing there now. Demo is done and rough in electric occurring. So no pics would help.

Do you at least have a sketch of the space? Is there a window?

The reason I ask is because we had the same issue in our kitchen - nothing is centered anywhere...the sink isn't centered on the window, window isn't centered on the wall. It would have looked awkward no matter where we put a pendant so I skipped it all together.

I would think you'd want it closer to the wall to make sure that your head won't block the light when you're working over the sink.
