Oh it is gorgeous! This is the most exciting day of our project by far. Will post some pics later.

No, no, no, no, no. That stone is COMPLETELY wrong for your kitchen. You must remove it immediate. Ship it to me and I will dispose of it for you at no charge.

My soapstone templating is monday, with hopefully install a week after... it is also the thing i'm most excited for in our kitchen! You're so lucky it's your day!!

I was finally able to get some pictures, but the lighting was bad and I couldn't get good shots to really show how the soapstone looks. It is very subltle in person, but really beautiful. These are the best I could do, but I'll try again in the morning light.

These are the peninsula. Butcher block will fill the space not covered by soapstone.

momof3, it is very exciting to see the soapstone installed and oiled. It is soft and velvety to touch and I keep going in to stare at it. Have fun on your install day!

Your stone is beautiful. I know you're going to love it.

We've been using our Beleza counters for about 4 1/2 months now and I like them more and more. Wait til you see them in the sun. Ours shows all sorts of green and various sparkly bits when the sun hits it.

sw-in-austin, I did see the little sparkles and green bits in the morning sun. Your beautiful Beleza was one of the reasons I went with this stone.

momof3kids and nutheroki, I was nervous about the creaminess of the cabinets, but now with the soapstone in, I love them.

mustbnuts and bradleyj, sorry, but you can't have them! Besides I'm sure shipping all those heavy counters would be much more expensive than just going and getting your own.
