Can I Use Hand Lotion in a Soap Dispenser?

In my now-two-year-old kitchen, I had two soap dispensers installed -- one for soap and one for lotion. The one with lotion -- I used Lubriderm -- got clogged, stopped working, had to be replaced.

It has been suggested to me that the lotion is too thick and viscous to work in the soap dispenser pump. Does anyone know anything about this? Is there something that's thinner and more watery that would work??

Maybe. Haven't tried it yet. I'm afraid it would separate and then it would still get gunked up.

We fought with our dispenser with hand soap until a took the forum recommendation and bought the never mt soap dispenser. We have a Kohler dispenser that we could never kept full ( air issues?), now I have not touched it in over a year.

@carolmka, you misunderstood the question. The question is about using LOTION in a soap dispenser.

Maybe try an oil. Almond oil I think does not leave a greasy film. I think Cetaphil is a bit thinner and works well. But any lotion will get a congealing plug if it isn't moved thru often enough.
