well, i have the perrin & rowe faucet above in my laundry room along with other perrin & rowe faucets and they are all beautiful and seem to be built very well. they're heavy, with no plastic parts. all function nicely. i don't have any grohe fixtures though, so can't help you there ...sorry!

I have had the Bridgeford for serveral years and re-used it in the kitchen we put in last year. I like it because it's very hardy and stands up well to the three men in the house.

thanks for responses... I've only used faucets with a side sprayer, so I am rather used to it. Having said that, I always believe in function over form if it came down to it... so perhaps it's time for me to try the pull-outs.
My one reservation about the Grohe lies in worrying that the pullout may become loose over time and not stay in its "home". That some of you have used it and find it maintains its quality and functionality is good to hear.

I do also suspect that more people own Grohes since it's more affordable compared to the Perrin&Rowe. For me, I have found a P&R for only $400 more than the Grohe and don't feel like it's all that much of a difference when you consider the grand kitchen reno budget.

Jillsee... your kitchen layout is so similar to my last kitchen... minus the counter w/ appliances and the wine counter!

Sorry to push the issue... but as I research my impending purchase, I just realized that the Grohe comes with a ~9" spout reach, while the P&R comes in both a 9" and 11" reach. Given the specs of my Shaws Original (30" x 18" with an off-center drain), that means the Grohe's spout won't even reach the center/middle of the faucet, let alone the drain? Am I limited to faucets with 11" spout reaches?
Help???
