Search function not working or is it me?

Hi
Is anyone else having trouble with search? I have tried very basic (galley) and very specific (kitchenkelly) but no results are returned. I also tried opening another session but no luck. Also tried search in the Appliance forum and it did not work either.
Maybe it is my system-not the newest- but I haven't had trouble before....

Wonder if they can broadcast so there are not tons of posts on this! (since we can't search and it will move off pg 1 quickly)
I do not know who to contact about this?

| Google will still get you there temporarily. I just put in 'lesmis island gardenweb' and got to the thread I wanted. |

| Search is broken for me, too, since yesterday. Odie is right, google works much better. Glad to hear it's not just me being stupid. |

ok, a site search engine would be great.
But I don't need it.
In any case, the ths. site local search engine is sometimes unable to provide the results you may wish. I use google, and click on
"Advanced Search"
There I find the field
"Search within a site or domain:"
In this field I put
ths.gardenweb.com
(Actually, I just type the first two letters and the browser fills in the rest, since it remembers ths.gardenweb.com was used in searches before.) The reason I use google is that it's a professional search engine.
The local engine in this site is not google-run.
This site has content.
In this site, one day, improved tools may be provided... but I wouldn't lobby for any improvement today when in the meantime you and I and everyone can use other freely available tools without hindrance.
Let's put our brains together to think of improvements that would be unique.
(-- and not just a copy of what is already well executed elsewhere). |

| Swspitfire - to contact the Gardenweb PTB: there is a link at the bottom of this page (within Green bar at bottom of page) that says "Contact Us". If you click on that, you'll get an email form, and there is a pull-down menu on it for "Nature of Message" where you can click on "Technical problems". The more people who contact them, the more they'll realize there's a real problem. |

Hi kitchenkelly
I was searching for the famous "morgue drawers" to attach the link for another GW user. When I couldn't find them, I was pretty sure the search function was broken. Luckily I had them in my favorites!
