Yes, it feels like a bathroom to me, as well. It might be a good option for those without a kitchen window, though.

I would also not like to keep seeing myself bustle around the kitchen in multiple reflections. That movement would be very distracting to my eye. There was a thread somewhere about mirrors in the kitchen and they talked about how weird it was to see floating heads walking around in the kitchen.

Also every splatter and drop will show on them.

There would be fingerprints all over them in my household.

It might be a good way to lose weight - seeing myself in those mirrors, having them near the fridge and maybe watching my fat self eat.

But I agree - they'd be hard to keep clean.

I have a tiny galley kitchen and so the idea intrigued me (to maximize the one window), but in the end I didn't have the right spot. Google GW user @sanjuangirl's kitchen reveal - she used a few mirrored doors to amazing effect, actually hiding a soffit. I put mirrors on two of my large cabinets in the kitchen. A lot of people were not fans of the idea at the time, but I did it anyway and I think they turned out quite good and I like the way they reflect light.

The one is the fridge so it gets opened A LOT. It does get finger prints sometimes but it is not a huge deal to have them wiped off (we do have 3x/week cleaning help, but I don't think she cleans the fridge fingerprints more than once every week or so and it doesn't take long).

I am having doubts that I could be vigilant about keeping mirrored cabinets clean. And I realize now that my daughter would probably make faces at herself when she should be getting ready for school.

But they sure do add light & shine to your kitchen.
