Does anyone have feedback or an experience to share working with Builders Cabinet Supply?

They are based in Chicago and the manufacturer of Orchard Hill cabinets.

We are planning to remodel and were surprised they do not offer a plywoood option and have only a 5 year warranty.

Thanks,
Kevin

RE: Orchard Hill cabinets - Builders Cabinet Supply

Most builder grade cabinets will be constructed similarly. If you want better quality with a better warranty, you're going to have to move up the chain and spend more money. It's all about your expectations. Some mid grade lines are better than others at different features. Some have better hardware, some have better finishes. Overall, all will have a better whole package (and many more choices) than builder lines.

Most mid grade lines will offer plywood (at an upcharge) even though it's not really needed, and most will offer a (limited) lifetime warranty. Average expenditures on cabinets in a lower mid-grade remodel will be 15-20K. Upper mid-grade remodels spend 30-40K. Plan to spend 5-10% of the value of your home on cabinets during a kitchen remodel. The other 5-10% goes for everything else.
