I really like the kitchen (although fridge placement in the path between island and table may prove awkward). What I don't understand is the teeeny bath, mudroom size/shape and cabinets/dead space, the unnamed room between the laundry and pantry and the enormous hallway betwwen same. It seem really strange and choppy...you could re configure this to get all the same functions as well as a bedroom (or study, art studio, sewing room) on this floor. The laundry room is in prime real estate on an exterior wall but has no windows, is there no view there? There is little light coming into the hallway between the two pantries, the area will just seem dark and dreary. Something to consider is that it looks like you have an outside bbq area to the left of the breakfast table bumpout....wouldn't you want a door or pass through window directly from kitchen to bbq area?

I assume the little pentagonal room marked "mud" is the garage entrance, so that is where you would be coming in with groceries? It will be quite a walk through quite a maze to get your groceries into the kitchen. It would take a lot of reconfiguring to make it happen, but you really might consider shortening/straightening that walk.

Also is the family room furniture what you really intend to have in that room? I think that will feel cavernous and empty with the, what, 8 ft., 10 ft.? walkways around the couch? That room needs more furniture or to be smaller.

Lastly, have you considered moving the laundry to the same floor as the bedrooms? Clothing is going to naturally end up in the bedrooms, so if you have the laundry handy to them, you will save yourself a lot of schlepping.
