We will be doing a light reno instead of huge construction right away. I was going to get White marble but now I don't want to spend too much money on something that's going to get torn out.

I've heard home depot cararra can be affordable or is there a way I can get bigger scraps from other projects that would make sense? Where should I go for the scraps?

I thought about formica but it doesn't seem that cost effective for the good stuff.

This is a 4-5 year kitchen, maybe longer....what would you do?
