| I am in desperate need of help in picking out a nice counter stool. Right now our kitchen nook has the RH madeline chair (so not wanting to do a stool with the cross back on the island). I would ideally like something kid friendly (no upholstery) and something that does not have a huge back (low back or not back or shorter style back) would be great.
I was initially looking at the dorchester counter stool in black at Ballard Designs, but then decided if the kids were sitting at the counter I should maybe get something with a back. I also like the RH Vintage French Counter stool with leather. (hope this link works) http://www.restorationhardware.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?product Id=prod2110020&cm_ps=modal_add_to_cart-_-none-_-other_items_you_may_li ke&categoryId=search Any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated! |

| Have you looked at Crate and Barrel? Also, I have to say, I LOVE your floors, are they pre-finished or site finished? |
Here is a link that might be useful: Crate and Barrel bar stools

| Call me crazy, but I love the idea of the Restoration Hardware Toledo Polished Chrome Stool. I also think one of my favorites (though extremely expensive) Kong Stool would be gorgeous. |

| OK no joke - I just bought 2 stools at Bed Bath and Beyond (hudson style). they were on sale for $20 each, something like that. I bought them so I would have stools for template day (no laughing). Turns out the seat fabric matches EXACTLY the ultra suede (whatever) I've selected from Pompanoosuc for my chairs. HOWEVER - in putting the stools together, I decided to take my chartreuse fabric pattern and staple gun it to the stools. They are goregous and so much fun! and I left the ultrasuede under! They are bronze and match my light finishes. I hope they last b/c I really like them. but they will do for however long..... They were totally meant to be temporary but I really hope to keep them! PLUS THEY SIWVEL! |
