They are very different styles and I would make them more compatible by either choosing pendants with black iron elements or choosing a different lantern.

I also would NOT choose a fixture that takes an incandescent bulb (if that's what you mean by Edison though you may just mean screw-in type) as these are being phased out. I would look for fixtures that work with dimmable LEDs.

both links worked for me. Just highlighted them, right clicked and chose "open in new tab". As far as using those, I don't want exposed bulbs anywhere in my home. I even replaced the builders dining room light because of bulbs showing. It is very hard on the eyes and adds a harsh glare in my living area.
