Kenmore Range Hood for NXR range?

Hello everyone, I recently "found" gardenweb and love the site. I'm hoping to get a little advice on wether or not the range hood I've picked out will work well with the 30" NXR range we're considering. The hood is a Kenmore 50303 Italian style chimney model. I'm a little worried it's underpowered (the only info I could find states the cfm at only 270). We're not big cookers, more or less like the NXR based on looks and it's lack of a bunch of electronics. Thanks in advance for any advice.

What is under the range hood - if you have an electric or induction, might be OK, but if you have a big gas range, probably not enough. Or if you do a lot of frying or wok cooking, also might want more.

Umm, it does sound a little underpowered for the NXR. I believe the NXR burners are about 15 k BTU/hr? Conventional wisdom would say you want closer to 600 cfm (although if you are not big cookers, less may be okay). I would tell you to post over on Appliances, but I am confident they will tell you MORE cfm.

Thanks, I'll look for a higer cfm hood.
