We just ordered ours, so I can't show you pics -- maybe in a couple of months??!! I'll have perimeter cabinets in Polar with pewter glaze and island in charcoal, both distressed. Hope it turns out like I'm picturing it . . . I agree, it's hard to visualize a whole kitchen from one little door!

Our Shiloh cabinets were installed this week (partially) and I am THRILLED. I will go download pictures and post.....just remember that the kitchen is very incomplete!!! Stay tuned!!

karalouise-- i can't wait to seeee!! what color are they?

The perimeter is Oxford painted maple in ivory with pewter glaze and the island is painted black with weathered, distressed, sand through. Remember that the kitchen is VERY unfinished (and dusty:) I know everyone says it, but it is true, you truly can't tell how pretty they are from the pictures!!

We used Shiloh cabs and the quality is great. Sorry no pics yet, the kitchen is almost done, but I can't find my camera, lol. It's driving me crazy!

Thanks, Arlene. I will definitely post more as we go. I have to say that I am at the nerve racking part of the project where all of those little samples come together in giant scale and it is either going to be fabulous OR it going to be a train wreck!!
I originally started this project I was staying on the safe side.....ie, all one color cabinet, one color granite etc......now I have 2 different cabinet colors, THREE different granites, not to mentions other color elements such as copper in the sink, brick on structural beams and columns (in addition to the remodel we bumped out the kitchen and family room 400 sq. ft. giving us some structural things to deal with grrrrrr)Again, it is either going to be great or a train wreck!!!

What other color choices are you going with in your kitchen....since we both have the cream and black tones!! It's fun to see how much you can mix things up!

we have shiloh cabinets as well. i think i have the same door style as karalouise. we've been totally thrilled with the quality and look of the cabinets.

some of those pics show the cabinets without the crown or light rail molding, but one of the things i liked best about shiloh was all the little finish details like the moldings and how nice they came out. here's a couple that show the moldings:

Edlakin-- can you tell me what is the island wood?? That looks similiar to what we are looking for....

the island wood is cherry with a cherry stain and black glaze.

The white perimeter cabinets will have Zodiaq Eclipse Blue countertops and the island will have Venezian granite in Polo, which is a white/gold/grey granite that has a brushed finish and a natural edge. I fell in love with the textured feel of it -- the fact that it's textured makes it very different and not something I'll see in everyone else's kitchen. I'm not fond of shiny, so that was appealing. It's a quiet pattern -- we're using granites with more movement in the bathrooms!

At this point we're thinking the backsplash will be Oceanside Glasstile Geologie. We really like the little sample of Silver Peak but larger areas look more splotchy than my taste. So I think it will be Rocky Mountain instead. Pulls and knobs will be pewter. Sink: Silgranit Anthracite, but I'm not sure which one yet. Floor is grey ceramic tile. The whole look will be blues and greys with the white/pewter cabinets. There's quite a bit of natural light so I don't think it will come off as cavelike.

I took a picture of my little sample of the island granite but no matter how I held it, the texture doesn't show up! The cabinet door is in the background.

I love, love , how your kitchen is turning out. I have looked at Shiloh cabinets too. I can't wait to see the finished product. Please post when you get that gorgeous granite installed~~~~~

Also does anyone have shiloh cherry cabinets coffee with black glaze. I was thinking about mixing it with ivory with mocha or ivory with pewter, I wonder if anyone has the ivory with mocha also????
