I purchased a new Frigidaire top freezer for our cottage about a month ago. It is a very low end model without water or ice maker.

I have to turn the dial in the refrigerator almost to "coldest" to keep the refrigerator at 39 to 40 degrees. Would like to know where you have to set your dial. To reach 35 to 38 degrees I need to put the dial all the way over to the zero degrees icon--the furthest it will go.

The freezer has a separate dial and it is at zero when 1/2 way between start and coldest. It will cool way below zero if I go beyond the 1/2 way mark on the cold dial.

Still under warranty. Would you call for service if it were yours?
