I saw the picture of your hot plate and big canner in the thread for Laila619's cabinet disaster. I plan on getting a hot plate before we start our kitchen reno. Last night I was just wondering if there was a powerful and reliable enough one to use my big canner on. If so, then I could consider an induction range as opposed to gas.
Could you please tell me about your hot plate -- brand, wattage, ballpark the price, where you purchased it, have you used it for canning, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
