Yes they are glass - we chose frosted white

Just wanted to follow up...we got the trim rings installed tonight after DH finished the last coat of ceiling paint.
I was a little disappointed when we installed a trial ring the other day - they looked gray against the white ceiling, and you could see the metal of the can on the inside through the glass (frosted white)
so, I took a little paint, and coated one as a trial.
It did the trick...so I painted all of them (on the opposite side) and I am thrilled with the result!

I was looking at those same trims and had the concern of being able to see through them. It looks like you found a great solution. They look great. What kind of paint did you use?

Errant - they are Phillips BR 30 LED

Karen - just a white ceiling paint...I hope it holds but we won't be removing them so not too concerned about scratching - if I hadn't been so anxious to get it done I might have found a more glass-friendly paint.

aktillery: not great photos...maybe I should have waited until after my morning coffee !! my poor photography skills don't do them justice. Am very pleased how the lighting turned out.

Thanks. They look great. I'm sure the paint will hold up fine, especially since you are using LED bulbs which put out so little heat.
