Please Critique my kitchen layout

I'm remodeling the kitchen in my '50s house - the original kitchen was a simple galley kitchen that was never renovated (!).

I'm planning on removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room and putting a peninsula with a breakfast bar in it's place.

My main concern is that with the sink in front of the window, I'm not sure what to do with the dishwasher. In the plan, it's to the left and would have to be loaded from the front. What do you think of that configuration?

Assuming you currently have a DW, try loading and unloading it from the front - especially the items that would be loaded in the back of the DW. This will not work.

Why not put the sink and DW on the peninsula? Seems like an easy fix and would function better.
