Your stove instructions manual will tell you the amount of clearance that it needs between the stove and the base cabinet.
If possible you should post a picture of the shelf that you can't remove as will get more helpful suggestions that way.

casykees, those look like they may be Accuride guides.
The small black plastic lever on each side needs to be pushed up or down while pulling out on the drawer to remove.
