Our pipes come up through the floor requiring us to cut holes in the bottom of the sink cabinet. I know that is very common but it hurt my heart a little bit to see holes in my brand new beautiful cabinet. If they would have came through the wall the back of the cabinet already had space for the pipes to come through. My DH prefers them through the floor instead of through the wall because working on them if there is a leak is easier. Not sure if there is a right or wrong way.

Depends on if you're creating a new vent/waste stack, or an auxiliary arm, etc. Which depends on the code in your local area. Your plumber will be happy to discuss the options with you that will pass inspection.

Mine comes up behind and in through the diagonal back of the cabinet, in the dead space created in the corner. I'll see if I can dig up a photo from before counter tops went in.

Found a photo...you can see I built the corner cabinet 28" deep, which allows nice room behind the sink for all the hookups. New sink is single basin, so I since covered the extra hole in the cabinet back where the old waste was from our double bowl.

Not here because it makes any cabinet installation/removal and/or repair significantly more time consuming.

However, will you be installing, or is there now window/s in that corner, as venting can be additionally more difficult.

Ask the plumber the limits of a "dirty arm," or if that comes into play.

Yes Trebuchet, our supply lines and our waste lines penetrate the floor. We got permits and inspections...no issues.
