Oak Cabinets and dark granite

Looking for some advice on decorating around honey color cabinets/dark granite combo. The granite has shades of grey/black and the floor tiles are sort of a beige color. Knobs match the SS appliances. Wish I could post a pic but my camera is still packed somewhere :) I'm looking for advice on what color paint might help to update things and do I have to get a kitchen table that same honey color...I'm not a huge fan ;)

I'm no help, but I wanted to let you know you're not alone. Our cabinets are an upgraded hickory, though, and the granite is black with shades of green. The cooler green undertones and the warm hickory don't go at ALL to me, but I can't justify knocking out $4k worth of granite (I'm guessing) because it's just annoying. However, we're adding a peninsula, so I'm trying to figure out what I can do to take the eye away from the green-to-me granite and still look cohesive.

So, I feel your pain.
