I would get rid of the breakfast bar next to the range and put those cabinets along the outside wall. i think that it looks choppy they way you have it.

Get rid of the peninnsula andd run the cabinets straight into the wall. Do a much smaller island, with table attached, squared up to the length of the cabinet run. Make the patio door into a window, and do a new patio door that is centered on the hallway, between the eating and living rooms.

Right now, the eating area is much too cramped to be used comfortably, and the lving area is cramped as well because it's all smooshed together. The glass door as a ''destination view'' will give the space a feeling of expansiveness that will make it feel twice as big as it really is.
