| Just wondering if anyone can suggest which forum on here would be best for questions about stonework, specifically getting split granite fieldstones sliced into veneer... either finding (whom?) someone locally or DIY how to.
Haven't spent much time on other forums so I thought some of you could direct me to the right place. Thanks! |

Here is a link that might be useful: Stonefoundation.org

| I would ask on the Building your own house forum. I think they are pretty active and know these types of things. Just be specific in your supject line. |

| You would need to buy the stone already sliced, or purchase faux stone. Cutting stone in that manner is not a DIY project at all. It's not even a job for a stone pro. It's needs a pretty expensive specialty saw. |

I mean, SOMEONE is slicing granite veneer out of fieldstone, right? I guess I was hoping the right forum could tell me who the someone is to look for and ask. One local stone place already said no... |
