I use the plastic ones because to me they're easier to keep clean, but the first place that comes to mind is The Container Store and Orgainize It. They're the first place I go when looking for ideas about that kind of stuff!

I bought a birch wood cutlery holder with 7 deep slots from Ikea for $20. It's in their Rationell line.

We will be using this wooden divider -- will use this wooden divider in our kitchen. Our drawer is a bit more narrow, so being able to trim was important.

I dont like the LOOK of plastic but it is much easier to keep clean and you can take it out and wash it. It's in the drawer anyway. So, Im going with plastic.

I made ours from components from lee valley. We don't have much space and this really allows you to utilize every inch.

We bought a bamboo divider from Lowes that looks an awful lot like lsandler's. It works for our silverware. We're still looking for the perfect divider for our cooking utensils.

The brass drawer dividers are from Lee Valley. If I recall correctly you just tap them in with a hammer. The wood is from home depot but I think Michaels craft store also carries the same thin wood strips. You just cut the wood to the length you need.

budge1, How do the brass dividers attach to the wood? Also, are the individual wood strips easily removable for cleaning and/or replacement? Lastly, do they really stay in place? I previously had the white plastic dividers posted above and they often moved out of place on me.

Chefkev, the brass dividers have brass points on the outside that you pound into the drawer - maybe 1/4". Mine have been in for about 3 years and haven't moved. The wood just slides in or out. I tried to make mine pretty snug but I can still pop them out.
