Hi all --

Newbie here. We are looking for some granite/backsplash ideas or inputs from the aficionados here.

Here a couple of pictures of our kitchen countertop/cabinet/island. We are planning on replacing the countertops and island by granite (and change the backsplash appropriately). As you can see from the island photo, we do have a very light colored (ivory?) floor tile and light doors throughout. The kitchen is well-light and is pretty bright.

Any ideas on the appropriate granite/backsplash combos?

Here are some which seemed appealing in the granite yards:

1. Tan Brown; 2. dakota mahogany; 3. Nambia gold; 4. Super Bordeaux; 5. Golden oak; 6. Cabernet Bordeaux; 7. Super Bordeaux

However, we are imagination-challenged people to visualize the correct combos of dark-light which will work.
