Shopping for mini clear glass pendants? Please help

Posted by thedork (My Page) on

The kitchen is almost done.

Need to find 2 clear glass modern ( Edison bulb maybe ) pendants for the island ( 3x4 )

The faucet is stainless but the cabinet pulls will be bronze tone or black ( the silver tone was not OK when we tried different bars and pulls ) Faux pas? Too late...

I am having a hard time picking the pendants - should they be aged steel/bronze type of finish because of the handles/pulls ( which I haven't picked yet ) or I can go with satin nickel tone of the canopy etc.

Most of the bronze finish clear glass pendants have black cord which it's not working with the green backsplash very well...

I am stuck...

Please share your thoughts - thank you!

I love the pendants that soibean used in her kitchen. They are a clear glass pendant with ribbing for lack of a better term. I think they'd look great in your kitchen, too.

Great call, ck_squared!
There are lots of great choices in the size you need, thedork. Lowes has surprisingly fresh designs.

p.s. I think you'd be fine going with a satin nickel/stainless/chrome canopy/cord.

West Elm has some interesting contemporary pendants that might be up your alley.

These are minimalist/contemporary, clear glass, made in Denmark.

We have them with a very modern-looking LED bulb (by Switch) and it's a cool look. It could work in your kitchen too. These don't have any metal so you don't have to worry about bronze vs stainless, etc.

Ohhh, I like soibeans for your space too. Very nice.

P.S.-your back splash looks so nice with your cabs. Are you going to post a reveal - after the pendants are up. ? :)

The canopy is white. I don't have very good pictures of them, and no pics with the canopy. If you'd like some better photos let me know and I can take some on Sunday.

I like these by Arteriors. They are not cheap, but might give you inspiration.
