Laundry Room Cabinets

I know this isn't kitchen related, but you guys are awesome. I need some help with my laundry room. We are taking down the shelving and putting in cabinets. Do I use kitchen cabinets? All the cabinets in my house are Aristokraft maple, rouge finish (bathrooms & kitchen). Should I stick with the same cabinets? Can I do white or should I stick with the same color that is throughout my house? I need help!!

Is your laundry room visible from the kitchen, or other areas where you have cabinetry? If not, get whatever color you want.

No the laundry room is upstairs away from the kitchen. It is right beside a bathroom that has cabinets in it, but not visible from the bathroom. I'm thinking white for the laundry room. Do I buy kitchen cabinets?

I would think that kitchen cabinets would be the most cost effective and have plenty of options that would work for a laundry room.

Some of our old kitchen cabinets will be finding a home in our laundry room, as soon as I get the chance to gel stain them.
