Combining Self Close with Soft Close Hinges

I have standard self closing Blum European hidden hinges on my kitchen cabinet doors that have two hinges. I would like to replace them with Blum soft close hinges and was wondering if I could save money by only replacing one door hinge on each door with a soft close hinge and leave the other as-is? What will the impact be on the door?

Should be fine, check the Blum website for the specs relative to door sizes.

I think you can do it, but you may not get the level of "soft close" that you are hoping to achieve. With our doors, some of them have 1 soft close switch activated, others have 2, and some have 3...depends on the size of the door what has worked best for us.

We do it all the time, standard door gets one soft and one self, larger doors 2 soft and self etc
