Silestone slab size

Our contractor says that not all colors come in all sizes. Is this true? The Silestone website seems to imply that the slabs are different sizes for different thicknesses. We are planning a large island.

It's been awhile since I checked but our 10' island was going to have to have a seam, so we decided to go with something else. What are the dimensions of your island?

Silestone slabs come in 2 sizes; 120 X 55 (119 X 54 usable) and 128 X 63" (127 X 62" usable).

a given color may be available in only one size or both. theres no way to know without asking the distributor.

I am a Silestone fabricator so I deal with this issue every day.

Thanks. I discovered that the website says "jumbo slabs usually available" for some colors in the little symbol key underneath. The color that I like best does not have that little symbol, natch. I think that we need to shrink the island down. We actually are dealing with a house that has an addition which resulted in an overly large kitchen! The previous owners had 7 children ( not raised in this house!) which is 7 more than we have.

A seam in quartz is NOT a big deal if done by a good fabricator. Just ask to see your potential fabricator's seams if the larger island would work best in the space.
