You still control the flow rate and temperature with your faucet as you normally would. The tapmaster is for off/on only. So if you don't move your faucet handle(s) it will come back on again with the same flow rate and temperature as you left it before you turned it off. Then, once it is on you can change it to your preference if you need to with your faucet handle(s) as you normally would.
