| We're hoping to remodel our kitchen next summer. I've never done a kitchen remodel, just bathrooms and closets. We're not sure if it's possible to work with the existing cabinets or not, so I need to figure out the layout.
We have a lot of obstacles with the current configuration: island is too far away, giant china hutch is where I need cabinets/counterspace, fridge is out in the open, I have to stand on tiptoes to get to the microwave...it's a bit of a mess. I have looked at a lot of people's wonderful layout designs posted on here. Any layout software recommendations that are easy enough for a newbie, so I can play around with the layout and post the current layout for comments? Thanks. |

| You can start with just graph paper. Sometimes that the easiest. |

| Hello, Mrs.EmmaPeel. A lot of people use the kitchen design program on the Ikea site to start. It's pretty basic and limited to their cabinet sizes, of course, but is very useful and has a 3D view that's fun to "walk" around in. People on the Ikeafans website would be happy to answer questions if you had any issues with it. |
Here is a link that might be useful: Ikea
